Clarinda Cloud Talks about Understanding a Bully

Hello everyone.  Just so you don't forget, this is Clarinda Cloud talking.  I am a spokescloud for anti-bullying and bullying prevention issues.  (Boy, those are long words.)  That means that I like to speak up against bullying and try to tell people about it.
People liked my author's simple drawing last week, so we thought we would show you another one.  You know my author, right?  Her name is Jodi Desautels.
Anyway, this picture is about understanding a bully.
Look at the picture.  It explains it.  It says that there are things that bullies usually have in common.  They are things that kind of explain why bullies might do the things they do.  That doesn't make it right.  But…kind of makes it easier to understand.  Like, sometimes a bully is abused at home.  He or she gets hit and called bad names, so he or she turns around and hits and calls other people bad names.
Sometimes bullies might feel lonely, like they don't get enough attention.  They might not be popular at school.  They might not have many friends.  They might be neglected at home.  So, they do bad things to people.  Sometimes others laugh and that gives them attention or a feeling like they are fitting in.  Or, they get yelled at or told to stop.  This isn't fun, but they are thinking that at least someone is paying attention to them.
I hope this helps to understand bullies a little more.

Hi.  I am Clarinda Cloud.  I like to talk about feelings.  I think it is important to know your feelings and to share them in a healthy way.  My author, Jodi Desautels, and I talk about feelings quite a bit.  When I share my feelings, I always feel better.  Do you share your feelings?
