Hi everyone!  You know how I like to talk about feelings.  I thought that I would talk about feelings with another character.  Look at this page.  Doesn't everyone look happy?

Hi Dylan.  What is the name of your book?
Hi Clarinda Cloud.  The name of my book is, "Dylan and the Croak Orleans Gang."

Oh cool.  The name of my book has my name in it too, just like the name of your book has your name in it.  I like this picture of you in your book.  You are the frog on the right playing the red electric guitar, right?
Yes.  That's me!  Thank you.  I like this picture too.

Who are all those other characters?
Well, they are my new friends.  There are too many names to remember.  But, if you read my book, you will meet them.

Everyone looks happy in this picture.  Is that true?
Yes.  We feel very happy in this picture.  We are all together and doing something that we really enjoy doing… making music together!

Sounds like you might even feel excited.
Yes, Clarinda Cloud.  I think you are right.  I think that is it.  I think we are feeling excited in this picture.  We are having a fabulous time together.  We are following our dreams.  That makes me feel very excited!

Do you turn purple when you feel excited, like I do?
No.  LOL!  I think I play music when I feel excited!  Or, maybe I feel excited when I play music.

Do you like being in a book?
Yes.  I like it.  I think it is cool!  And, my book helps to teach kids to follow their dreams.  It also helps to teach them about instruments.  I am proud of that!

Oh!  That sounds wonderful!  Do you turn black when you feel proud?
LOL!  No.

Are you going to be in any other books?
I don't know yet.  I asked my author and she didn't know either.  She said, "maybe."

My author's name is Jodi Desautels.  What is your author's name?
My author's name is Rhonda Patton.  My illustrator's name is Chester McDaniel.  They are married.

Do you have a website?
No.  I don't have a website of my own.  But… my author has one.  It has my book and other books by my author, Rhonda Patton.  You can check it out at www.thecroak500.com.  Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Why are you laughing, Dylan?  Is your author's website funny?
No.  I was just laughing because, you are talking to me on your website… you know, character to character.  And, your author talked to my author on her website, author to author.  I think it is neat.  Check it out here.

Ha! Ha! Ha!  Yes, Dylan, that is neat!  Dylan, where can people check out or buy your book?
They can do it on most of the places where they check out and buy your book.  Amazon.com is one of the places.  Will you put the links to your book and my book?  Then we can have our books listed together.  Maybe people will check them both out.

Sure.  Here they are:

Hi everyone!  How are you?  I am feeling excited!  Do you know what color that makes me turn in the book?
Anyway, I am excited because my book is getting a different cover.  My author wasn't sure if the other one was eye catching enough.  What do you think of it?  I like it very much!  This cover has more colors than my other one.  And, there is a cute little sun that tells my story is about colors and feelings.  You won't be able to buy the book for a day or two while it is getting a new cover.  But...then you will be able to get the same great book with an even better cover!  Yay!
I have more news too!  Actually, I have two more things to tell you.  First, I am going to be talking about feelings on my blog.  I am also going to be talking about some children's books and illustrations.  I want to help authors and illustrators get the word out about their books by talking about the feelings of a character in their books.  That way adults and children will know what the book is about and what kind of feelings are in the book.  Doesn't that sound exciting!  I like talking about and sharing feelings!
My other news is that my author is having a contest! You can have a chance of winning one of the "Clarinda Cloud" books by answering at least two questions on my author's blogs about this contest.  It can be any two questions from here or from her other blogs.  Then, my author will pick a name from all the people who answer at least two of the questions at the end of the month or beginning of the year.  If nobody answers at least two questions, she will donate a book to a person or place.  If you win and would rather donate a book, please contact me or my author.

Here are the questions:
1.  Explore my site.  Tell me or my author if you there is a good way to get the word out about me, my site, my books, and my message about feelings.  I think my author calls that kind of stuff things like... "promotion"... "marketing"... "branding"....Um!  But...those words are too big for me!
2.  How many colors do I turn in my book?  (If you don't know... you might have to buy one.  I am not sure if my author has ever told anyone or not.  But... it will be worth it!)

If you would rather answer the questions on my author's other blogs, you can find them here:

What is New with Jodi Desautels?

My author says that she can only send books to addresses in the U.S. right now.  Thank you!  Good luck!

*Thank you for reading this blog.  Please explore the site and tell your friends about me!  Also, don't forget to share your feelings!
